Betreff: Time to say goodbye

Well, not really. But time to announce some changes.

It has been a little quiet here for some time, so I'm even a little bit sadder to burst into to the silence with the following announcement:

Last week I decided to step down from the keyboard duties with Trigon and informed the guys in the band about it.

I had been mulling over this step for some time and last week the moment seemed right to do so, because Trigon are heading into interesting times, playing in France in August, touring with Nektar in September and playing with Cast in November, and I thought it would be necessary to give to guys enough time before these busy weeks to plan without me.

That call was mine, and there was no bad blood or anything about it. The decision was of an entirely personal nature, and I'm sure I will be missing out on some great Trigon music and some great band experiences in the future. I just felt that I, as much as I enjoyed playing the music, was not able - for personal and job reasons - to commit to the band like I should have to be able to call myself a full time band member, a situation that was not helped by the geographical distance between my home and Rainer, Stefan and Timi in Karlsruhe.

The band has been very gracious about this decision and I would like to offer my sincere thanks to them for the great opportunities and time I had playing the music and hanging out with the band and fans.

I know that the band is looking for a replacement and has already some promising candidates from their own area that will be more than able to replace me and even help push the music further to wherever Trigon will want to go. I'm certain, Rainer will keep you up to date with any final developments in that area :-), as well as thet plan for a new studio recording that Rainer is mulling over at the moment.

Of course, when Trigon an Nektar will be playing in Munich, I'll be standing in the first row in Munich and will be cheering loudly, and I'm not gonna miss Trigon and Cast in Frankfurt, too. So: we'll meet again :-)
